Lots of Nothing

Well, I have been lazy about blogging the past couple days.  Sometimes I cannot fit it in…so I take a break. Monday and Tuesday I dedicated to being 100% productive…cleaning, shopping, cooking, dropping stuff off at a local thrift store, organizing winter and summer clothes…finishing up all laundry…you get the picture.

This past weekend I did find some really cute boots at DSW.  They were marked way down and I love them.  I have not been able to debut them as the weather has decided to climb back up to the 80’s. I did make squash soup (curry squash soup to be exact) and it was delicious.

I also cleaned Cora’s old/new rug.  Justin’s cousin was kind enough to lend us their carpet cleaner…oh my goodness, the rug was disgusting!  I cleaned it, and cleaned it…and cleaned it some more. Here is her room with the red rug.

Here is what it looks like now…unfortunately the pictures are blurry as it was so dark in her room this morning.

It’s much softer and coordinates all the blue in her room.  I love the little fairies.

Not bad for $20.

I have also been working on the back porch.  I moved Cora’s old rug outside and bought these $5 Pottery Barn pillows from South Eastern Salvage on Sunday…$5 with the pillow insert!

But with all the rain and tornado activity we have been getting there has been no point in doing anything outside.  Progress so far?

A wreath has been hung.

Other news in the Frye household…we have been doing a lot of this lately.

We are both so tired.  All the time.  We are in much need of Thanksgiving and a vacation…thankfully time flies and it’s just around the corner.  Does anyone else feel like they are dragging their feet?

Yes. We are dragging, to say the least. All of us. the house looks great! As usual. I think it’s great to stick with a color scheme, because then when you move anything around, the whole is bound to coordinate.

Definitely dragging. It’s funny. Last night I sat down on the couch after the kids had fallen asleep, and looked at my To Do list and did not want to do any of it. Im usually so productive at night…what’s going on?
We are looking forward to an american thanksgiving too, In Michigan with Jim’s parents. Hope your energy is renewed soon:)
