A Random Assortment of Nothing

Today I decided I’m going to write whatever comes to mind…I’ll start with Cora.  Cora has started a hilarious new habit of fitting herself inside whatever small compartment she can find.  Yesterday I heard angry cries from the kitchen.  I came in to find her like this.

Instead of helping her out of the box she had squeezed herself into I laughed and laughed…then took some pictures…and then laughed some more.  Finally she fell sideways and crawled out.

She’s also decided the best way to eat her cheerios is with a fork instead of a spoon.

Which is fine with me.  It takes a long time to eat cheerios with a fork…that’s how I have the time to blog right now.

The weather was warmish yesterday afternoon so I took Cora outside.  She loves being outside and so do I because while she’s outside she can’t do this.

I’m already longing for spring and it’s only January.

Yesterday I found myself craving chicken curry again…must be my cold weather food of choice for 2011.  When I make chicken curry I add tons of vegetables.

I don’t really have a recipe but do follow this one for basic spices, etc.

This past weekend Justin was busy working on something that has been in the works forever…more on that later.

I did finish the fireplace and I like it.  Different color scheme then the old one but it’s grown on me. Before I used a lot of red.

Now I am using much more green.

At first I just had to urns but they seemed to short so I added two wicker chargers that I had lying around…

Oh…and the votes are in.  The red table runner has won its place of honor on our table…glad you all picked red because I was partial to it…(sorry Justin)

And some final news.  Our good friends Ashley and Wesley have headed back to Hong Kong.  We were able to spend New Years Eve with them as my mother-in-law was kind enough to keep Cora.

We’ll miss you guys but know that we’re praying for you!

That’s all the random thoughts I have for now…hope you all have a wonderful Tuesday!

  1. Silly thing, eating her cereal with a fork. I love that…and that is most definitely her determined face!

She walks with her arms pumping the air and her jaw set. That reminds me to Justin:).

I am glad you went red-direction. But you comrpomised with green on the mantel….so both sides of you are happy!

The discovery of utensils is wonderful. Keeps them busy:) Love the decorations and am rather jealous that you are able to be outside in January without snowpants, snowjackets, hats, mitts and scarves. Enjoy!

That picture of Cora in the box is hillarious! And I’m with Lindsey…the fact that she can be outside with out having to be totally bundled up makes me a little jealous as well!;)

Love you and thanks again for a wonderful dinner sent to us!!!!
