The Kitchen Challenge

This will be a quick post as I have a lot to accomplish today.  My house is a complete disaster as we have officially started working on the kitchen…and it’s a big, big project…We are guessing we’ll be done by the end of April.  We are working around Cora, Justin’s working, all that I have to accomplish during the week…so it’ll be a slow process.  That’s fine with me.  We’d rather do it well then rush it.  The only part that’s really hard for me is the mess.  Here’s a picture of what the kitchen did look like.

Here’s what’s happened so far.  Justin has primed most of our built-ins on the right side of the kitchen.

Saturday night I painted them gray…the color we agreed on.

We have painted our ceiling white (of course) and our walls a beige color.

We will be cleaning, priming and painting the paneling white.

Last night we did our usual routine of gathering furniture and organizing the house.  I have never moved stuff around so much…it’s starting to get humorous.  Our table is back in the kitchen…table runner and flowers in their place…You see the lovely plastic backdrop?  Will be like that for weeks! :)

We are enjoying the process…even if it is hard work.  We have saved a long, long time and it feels good to finally begin the project.

Tomorrow I’m hoping to post a Cora update…something I am sure you are far more interested in.  Hope you all had a good weekend!

I’s going to look awesome! When we were building the house we’re in now, I became well acquainted with that dislike for everything being a mess. Seems like it was that way forever after we moved in. But, it gets there! Have a great week!
