I blame it on being pregnant

My dear friends who read this blog…Usually I would just let it go but I guess I’m not humble enough…although I have been humbled and am somewhat embarrassed…It just came to my attention that in my last blog post I spelled bacon, “baken.”  No joke…baken.  As is “bake” with and “e” and “n.”   I do not claim to be above making stupid mistakes…I have made my fair share when writing.  But this?  This is a gold medal for me. First I would like to thank Danelle for bringing this “misspelling” to my attention.  I am very bad about proofreading my posts and it never would have crossed my mind that I could actually butcher such a simple word.  A word I have spelled many times in my life b.a.c.o.n…a word that is on every fast food chain menu in America…a word that often follows “Canadian” as in “Canadian bacon.”  I fear my mind has been forever lost since having one child…and being pregnant with the 2nd has apparently fried the little bit that was left.  I would also like to say that this is karma.  (though I know there is no such thing)Maybe I shouldn’t have spent so many minutes giggling over the misspellings on craigslist such as “mebe” instead of “maybe.” or “mirrow” instead of “mirror,” or “dumbster” instead of “dumpster.”  Cause after all…it is I who has proven to be the biggest of all dumbsters.  Until next time!

Ha! No harm no foul, and something for us to snicker about until we make our humbling mistake!

You are too funny. I saw that, but as one mother of two to another, my compassion meter was all the way to the right. 😉 I hold to the fact that when one becomes pregnant, they lose half their brain cells. So, with subsequent pregnancies, that half is halved, and so on and so on. I hardly ever proof read, either. I’m sure you’ve noticed. 😛

    “dumbster” LOL!

I was actually impressed…I thought you ate so healthy on a regular basis that you just weren’t aware how “bacon” was actually spelled. 🙂
